About the moody tide
How The Moody Tide Began
The Moody Tide began in 2020 when I realized I had spent years building a life without asking who I was inside it. I had left behind the girl in New Mexico who loved anime and drawing.
So I picked up a pencil again.
The characters I created were searching for identity — and so was I.
Then science pulled me in. Prison systems. Leadership. Black holes. It taught me the art of inquiry — how to ask better questions and sit with uncomfortable answers. And somewhere in that process, science showed me something it wasn’t supposed to: purpose isn’t always given. Sometimes you make it. I set a fleece quietly — and the sky answered back. I don’t write tropes. Predictable endings feel hollow. If life is complex, stories should be too. The Moody Tide is about becoming — about choosing meaning even when none seems assigned.
Not broken. Still becoming.
